Skirt- Thrifted (remixed like this and this); Jacket- Thrifted (remixed like this and this); Heels- Aldo; Beret- Alfred Sung for Zellers; Nail Polish- Static Electricity by L.A. Colours (blue) & Happy Birthday by Deborah Lippman (sparkles) |
I can't believe that the summer edition of Kendi Everyday's 30x30 remixing challenge has come and gone. I found the summer challenge was much more difficult than the winter version but like last time, I loved finding new and creative ways to mix and match my existing wardrobe.
Take-aways from the challenge (click on the bold words for more outfits)
-I love myself with a tan (fake or not)
-I really don't like light pink on me (in fact I donated this top to a local thrift store)
-My new favourite clothing colour is yellow
-I am hopeless when it comes to hairdos
-My Mum should have been a model posing coach
-Wrap dresses look great as tops (especially if the material is lightweight)
-My balcony could do with a scrubbing
-I should wear my glasses more often
-Drinking wine while posing for outfit photos might send the wrong message...
-and last but not least- I love colours & patterns
I thought it would be fun to end the challenge with the same skirt I started my remix with. |
{Click to make the photo collage larger- #16 is when I discovered spray on tanning...My favourite outfits are #3, 9, 14, 18 & 23 and my least favourite are #2, 8, 13 & 21}

LOVE! You are too cute. Great job with your 30x30. I can't wait for mine to be over!
ReplyDeleteYou are a remixing pro!
ReplyDeleteThe faux tan looks amazing on you. It compliments rather taking away your natural glow.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so super cute, I love the stripe skirt and military style jacket.

Congrats. It was fun to learn what outfits you liked the most and the least. I'd put this last one in my top 5, even if the hat doesn't exactly scream summer. But it looks great with the military jacket.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing 30x30.

ReplyDeleteThis might be my favorite outfit of them all! That hat is sooooo cool! I've been having an obsession with hats lately. I'd love to add this one to my collection, lady. Hint hint. Wink wink. JUST KIDDING!
ReplyDeleteOh, and scratch off the "hopeless when it comes to hairdos" and change that to "I LOOK FREAKING AMAZING IN PIGTAILS!" Because you do. I wouldn't lie!
Omg, you look so freakn' cute cute cute in this oufit. And sexy. Very sexy. I think number 30 is my number one look for you!
ReplyDeleteI will be stealing your poses. Just a heads up. I also like you with a tan and in yellow. But you look great without the tan as well. And not in yellow. That is all.
xo,
Tracy

ReplyDeleteYou did fantastic! I love this outfit - that jacket is great. Loved reading your learning points from the challenge...I'm totally with you on the tanned skin. Unfortunately I still don't have it - might have to fake it ;)
