To announce the winner of my blog giveaway, I created a short video complete with drumroll sound effects and wild flailing of my hands!
Congratulations fisiwoman- I will be in touch with you to obtain your mailing address so that I can ship you the beautiful jewellery set to wear with your LBD and nude peep toes!
For the first day of the 30x30 challenge, I decided to wear my polka dotted yellow blouse with striped skirt for a look that although fun and sassy, was not entirely weather appropriate (it was raining cats and dogs!) Although when you work in a converted boiler room with temperamental air conditioning, you could wear a bikini to work and still be warm!
Lovely outfit, too. Love your skirt AND that polish color outside. I'm so dumbfounded though: are sandals with visible toesies really okay to wear to work? I always thought no....but it seems like all the blogs I'm reading are proving me wrong!
Congrats to the winner!! This is so exciting! Hearing your voice and seeing you in all your glory!! You have a lovely voice and a lovely, positive and energetic aura! So glad you're my blog-friend Emily!! And as an interior designer I have to admire the pillows on the bed!! :)
Love your first look! I actually think I have those exact same sandals and I live in them during the summer. And your skirt is so cute, I love the stripe pattern

how exciting! your first giveaway. that's very cool. and what a cute outfit. love the stripes. i think i have those sandals too in silver, though i didn't thrift mine :(
Great video...so good to see and hear you in action! Love the outfit and I think toe-showing sandals are fine for work...but not flip flops. I think it helps if toes have polish and look tidy. That's what the school in England's policy was, unless you taught Design Tech and were in the woodworking room, then it was closed toes.
One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
That skirt is so fun and I love the flower pin on the shirt! What a great idea!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks you very much! I'm waiting your email!
