neutrals {black & grey}

Blouse-Thrifted; Necklace & Skirt-Smart Set; Shoes-Charlotte Russe; Beret (worn like this)-Zellers

This past weekend was a whirlwind of train travel, dancing, cab travel and more dancing.  I was in Toronto taking fitness class training and am excited to say I am now a certified Zumba Instructor!  I will be posting choreographed videos later this week (after my aching body has recovered) but for now here are my black and grey neutral outfits as part of Megan and Keely's latest fashion remix challenge!

Dress (worn like this) Swapped; Vest, Belt & Ring-Thrifted; Boots-Spring

{This outfit is all about the faux fur so I'm also linking up to Tammy's decade challenge!}

Neutrals are not my forté so true to its name, neutral week will definitely be a fashion challenge for me! I was so tempted to throw on a pair of colourful tights but wanted to stay true to the neutral palette.

What about you- do you prefer dressing in neutrals or bright colours?

  1. Yah for the fur vest! It looks gorgeous over your dress. You look very chic and cozy. The black outfit is great too with your beret :)

    I thought the neutrals would be a piece of cake, but they have turned out harder than I thought. I like color, ha ha! Heather

  17. I'm a big fan of your second look here. I really love an outfit with a lot of neutrals, but my favorites are brown & grays. But personally I have an easier time making outfit with lots of colors in them. Something about bright colors just makes an outfit feel 'finished' in my mind.
    Also, I would love to see your Zumba videos, I've never tried it before because I am scared to work out in front of people. But it sounds like a lot of fun.

  19. That. Vest. Oh, yes. :)

    I usually wear neutrals when I'm super-stressed or sad. My clothes are a pretty good barometer of what's going on inside.

  20. I definitely prefer neutrals I don't like attention of bright colors. So I like your neutral outfits, the faux fur vest is beautiful! Looks great with the dress and boots for a party look. The black ensemble is feminine and stylish yet edgy. The beret is really cute.
