from filing to fortune tellers

I love transforming looks from career to cocktails by changing accessories, hairstyle and shoes and creating a whole new ensemble.  Last week I wore my thrifted black and white patterned blouse two different ways, the first time as a daytime look for work and the second as an evening outfit for a five course Witches & Fortune Tellers themed vegan dinner at Cafe My House.

How do you take a look from sunrise to sunset?

  1. You look so cute! I love the skirt and vest!

  2. Love the way you've transformed this blouse - it's amazing what a few accessories can do! Love the gold belt and ballerina skirt! Tres chic!

  3. I love the way you styled both outfits. This is a great blouse for transitioning. Your bedroom is so pretty! Heather

  4. That's a really versatile top - I love hoe you've transitioned it here!

  5. I love the last photo. and your second look is definitely my favourite from those two.
that skirt is just divine! and all those accessories as well, especially the metallic scarf used as a belt.
when it comes to me, I don't usually transform my looks..

  6. Girlfriend, you look awesome as always! You transitioned the looks very well! I absolutely love the skirt and necklace in the second picture!!

I usually do something fairly subtle to go from day to night - maybe change from dress slacks into dark skinny jeans, change my shoes, or go from a necklace to a scarf. A little bit can go a long way!

  7. Ooh I like how that shirt goes from day to night. I love both looks, but your "fortune telling" night outfit is my favorite. That skirt and those fun shoes rock!

  8. I love every piece that you are wearing! Those two candid shots are awesome. They always come out the best. You looked fabulous!

  9. oh thank you for the nice snaps at my site. you are rockin' in this ootd! i love tulle skirts but i doubt i could pull one off [wear it well]. and... i wish i had a man photographer. my husb is an horrible photographer. he cuts of my head or my side or my feet ALL THE TIME. see i have camera woes cuz i have to rely on meself. LOL

  10. that color blue in your beanie and scarf is just so sumptuous
i want to see them paired with the fabulous tulle skirt
    love both looks

  11. Love the polka-dot blouse! And your mirror face rocks, but it's so hard to replicate upon command!

  12. Beautiful photos of a beautiful lady. Love the tulle skirt!

  13. I love your style. So artistic, playful and cute. And those nails are super.

  14. You have the most adorable shoes and accessories! I usually pile on necklaces and bracelets and put on heels to turn my day outfit into a night one.

  15. exquisite black and white photo, i mean seriously magazine worthy. you look so ready for a fancy party. your nails are wonderful. your hat and teal scarf look delightful. :)

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
