Skirt- Joe (Clothing Swap); Top, Belt & Ring- Thrifted; Boots- Aldo; Nail Polish- Cerise by Sally Hansen |
Today it's dots or stripes over at Fashion Remix Week (hosted by the lovely Megan & Keely) but for some reason I just couldn't seem to style an outfit with my striped and dotted pieces so I threw on this fun green skirt I got at a clothing swap last weekend. Because we all know squares are the next best thing to dots- right? I wore this outfit to skincare genius Thann's media event (where the alluring aroma of lemon grass tempted me to buy one of their oriental essence scented candle- yum!) followed by a Stella & Dot party (where I finished off my family Christmas shopping- you heard me right, finished!)
{Not satisfied with the squares? Check out some of my polka dotted and striped looks here, here, here & here!}
{Besides being a bad veggie, I've been a baaaad blogger. Since I haven't been able to stop by your blogs in the past couple of days I'm making it up to y'all by spending my Friday night blog reading and commenting- because that's my idea of a fun time- no seriously it is!}
Well if you took polka dots and infused them with stripes, you'd get squares. You were just working with synthesis. ;D
ReplyDeleteYeah. They're kind of polka dares, or squipes. I'm totally with you on this. :) I like the pop of green with the black. Very pretty!

LOL--my idea of fun too! That's why i'm still up at 1:37AM! It's worth lack of sleep to see how cute you look though:-) I'm digging those green squares, pink nails, and lovely black cocktail ring...and the boots of course!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of that amazing skirt- love!! When you're ready to swap it you just let me know :)

ReplyDeleteFINISHED Christmas shopping??? I am extremely jealous. I am going to try to DIY some stuff this year and am starting to think that my limited crafty skills mean I should get started ASAP. I also seriously envy those boots.

They are less 'square' and more 'beveled quadrilateral'. Love the color.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you admitted to Christmas shopping early because I MAYBE have a list written out of things to buy. I hate waiting till the last minute, I usually get them all purchased by the end of November and then just sit back & relax. :)
I like dots and squares! Your skirt is super fun! LOVE IT!!! I'm also loving the green color. You came up with a very cute outfit. CLAPPING! Have a great weekend!!! ((HUG))

ReplyDeleteI'm insanely jealous that you're finished with your Christmas shopping. I haven't even figured out who's on my to-buy-for list this year.
ReplyDeleteSquares are just as good as dots. I'm not picky. :)
I'm catching up on my blog reading too (and laundry)! Your skirt looks like gingham from further away but I actually like the mod print better. It's fun too how you picked up on some neon colours in your belt and nail polish.
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt. Great color combination!
