My blogger friend Brett from
Silvergirl and I have a few things in common. A love of country music, bargain hunting and dresses from the GAP. Not just any old dress from the GAP but the exact same dress! (hers in grey, mine in black). We thought it would be fun to do a combined post to show how different styling can completely change the look of the dress. Brett looks elegant and chic with her red accessories and I added a hat and colourful scarf belt for an urban twist.

I loved how Brett's outfit popped against the brick wall so I copied her backdrop! |

Dress- GAP; Hat- Alfred Sung for Zellers; Scarf (worn as belt)- Thrifted; Heels- Suzy Shier |
Isn't Brett the best? I love her too! You both look amazing in this dress. And it looks totally different on each of you. Brett with the red accents on the grey is brilliant. And your hat and scarf as a belt combo is clearly genius!

This is such a fun post and it's great to see how you've each put your own unique spin on the dress. Instyle does a similar feature each month and seeing as I haven't yet got my June issue this is tiding me over! I'm off to check out Brett's blog now.

ReplyDelete1. yeah, kinda weird to miss finals, but if you're a recent graduate I understand... kind of... :) 2. what a wonderful idea for a post! it's great how the two of you took that dress entirely different ways. 3. both are really different, hers is classy and sophisticated, and yours looks amazing with the flurry of colorful accessories.
ReplyDelete4. that's a wonderful freaking dress... it's such a staple and can be styled so many different ways. 5. that hat looks so cute on you. suh-ooooo cuh-yute. 6. there were stupid typos in the last one which is why it was "removed by the author."
Oh goodness, I can't choose which I prefer! You both wear it so wonderfully!
