Box Office Bahli

Last Friday night, the boy and I went out for a much-needed date night.  I have been running myself to the ground recently with volunteering, working and extracurricular activities and as a result the boy and I have been like passing ghost ships in the night.  We needed some one-on-one time to re-connect and relax.  We went out for dinner at Shafali Indian Restaurant in the Market where I had one of the best vegetarian dishes I have ever tasted- not too spicy but very flavourful.  We then went to see the Christmas comedic play Inspecting Carol at Ottawa Little Theatre.  I don't think we stopped laughing once and for $20 a pop, I would highly recommend it to get into the festive spirit! Date night was a success and the best part of the evening was that I found an opportunity to don my white faux fur jacket thrifted from Salvation Army for only $6! P.S. The photographer/my boy came up with the title of this post (Bahli is a city in Indian so he thought it was fitting for our Indian food and theatrical experience!)

Mmmm buttery naan bread and veggie delights!

Only downside to my 3/4 length jacket- it was freezing out as my Rudolph the Red Nose reindeer depicts!

  6. Thanks everyone I'm not used to wearing fur (it can be a bit over the top) so I'm glad it was a hit :) Pop Champagne- my arms were numb, not my smartest decision in this temperature!

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
