instagram party

Skirt, Belt, Top & Bracelet- Thrifted; Hat- Joe Fresh (Gifted); Heels- AMH Style (Ottawa Consignment Shop);  Purse- Hidden Treasures (Dress for Success Ottawa Fundraising Sale); Nail Polish- Purple Pop by L'Oreal & Pineapple by Joe Fresh

This past weekend I attended an Instagram party hosted by Billings Bridge shopping centre in support of the Ottawa School of Art.  I joined Instagram (you can follow me here) a few months ago and love how it can turn regular camera photos into works of art.  The folks at Starfish Events did a wonderful job planning the event and the proof was in the details.  Great music, delicious candy bar, Instagram shaped cookies, spin it to win it game, photoshoots, interviews and shopping, it doesn't get much better! I was thrilled to be a part of this event & fellow Ottawa blogger Darcy said it best "Billings did an awesome job of making us normal folk feel like minor celebrities for a day."

What's the most unique party you have ever attended?

  10. To me this outfit is a very cool mash-up of lady who lunches meets funky urbanite. I love that you paid attention to the details, right down to your two-tone nails!

  12. how fab do you look! love that top, skirt and the bag is fabulous! you look amazing. what a great party. gosh, my fave parties used to be the work ones I got to go to during the holidays when I worked for Warner Bros. before the studios started cutting back. they'd have entertainers, ice bars, celebrities, poker, amazing food. it was soooo fun!

  13. you look fabulous! what a darling skirt. i adore the hat too. that blue is a favorite color of mine, and it looks fantastic on you. hooray for parties. how do you define interesting? yes that's a rhetorical question. i've gone to some normal parties, whatever that means. then there's the parties where they try to sell you something, like when they focus on bedroom type things. those ones are kind of weird to me.

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
