As romantic (and cheesy) as Valentine's Day is, I love February 14th for another reason, V-Day. V-Day is not just the abbreviation for Valentine's Day, it stands for a global movement to end violence against women & girls through campaigns, awareness building and the Vagina Monologue productions, created by Eve Ensler in 1998. |
Statistically speaking, 1/3 women will experience some form of violence in their lifetime the One Billion Rising campaign has been launched to represent the number of women affected and the number of women who will stand up, make noise and work towards ending violence against women!
If you haven't seen a production of the Vagina Monologues, I strongly encourage you to do so, you will be in fits of laughter (I still crack up when I think about the orgasm scene) one minute and welling up at the next.
So from one feminist fashionista to the next, Happy Hallmark holiday & Happy V-Day!
I love the heart cutout on your dress! The pink nails are so pretty :)
