Dress, Belt, Blue Nail Polish & Shoes- Target; Blazer- Thrifted; Hosiery- Lilac Lingerie; Necklace- Laura; Sparkly Nail Polish- Today was a Fairytale by Deborah Lippman |
Americans, you are a lucky group of people. Why? Because you're the home of Target stores, that's why! I spent a fair chunk of my weekend in New Jersey, perusing the aisles of the local Target. Being that it was my first time in the store, I was in bargain heaven! After trimming my shopping cart by half (I couldn't justify needing a drag queen pair of faux snake skin boots or psychedelic spandex!), my total came in just under $300 but I bought so much! Clothing, Halloween candy, curtains, measuring cups & nail polish (of course!), what more could a girl ask for?
I'm excited to debut some of my Target purchases including this floral dress, pink heels & belt and the colourful skirt, sparkly tank and burgundy blazer in the second outfit featured below.
Skirt, Blazer & Sparkly Tank- Target; Necklace- Laura; Bracelet & Belt- Thrifted; Shoes- Payless; Nail Polish- Purple Pop by L'Oreal Paris & Purple Diamond (sparkle top coat) by Santee Plus |
But don't despair Canadians, in 2013 we are saying goodbye to Zellers and hello to Target in 125 locations across the country (Ottawans, we're getting 3 stores!) So get ready to shop (the red bullseye) until you drop!
Are you a Target addict?
Welcome to the land of Target :) That store is hands down my favorite place for everything. You go in to get papertowels and a loaf of bread and come out with shoes, purses, clothes, stationary and nail polish too, lol! Love the dress and blazer you picked out. Have a nice weekend. Heather
ReplyDeleteSo jealous - I've been wanting to go to Target for years (and I can't wait for them to open in Canada!!) Love both of the blazers your got, the colours are fabulous!

Yay for Target! I am so helplessly addicted to that store. It's my one-stop shopping for everything. Especially things I don't even need. So glad that you got to enjoy it and it's great that they're moving into Canada! That floral dress and the maroon blazer are both adorable! Great finds!

Target is dangerous for me. I try not to go there as much because I always come out with SOMETHING no matter what. Seriously, the other day, I went in wanting to check out the $1 section for hello kitty stuff and came out with a skirt. or two. hahaha

I try to avoid Target at all costs because their stuff is just too addicting. I can't NOT buy clothes when I'm looking for toilet paper. Love your purchases!
ReplyDeleteLaughed at the variety of your haul; love your clothing purchases. I should not take Target for granted, huh? We have two in this city. I was just in there today. Longed for dresses in the latest designer feature (forgot name) but wow have they jumped up in price! I didn't buy a thing - which was weird. Although Dear Hubby went back and bought the raincoat I had wanted to buy The Teen but she said "no prints." But when she saw the raincoat online, she was all "wow". Sigh.
ReplyDeleteoh my GOD! you POOR THING! I couldn't imagine not having Targets! they are wonderful, and I've spent countless hours there over the years. they have anything and everything you could need, a lot of times they have quirky and fun details that you couldn't find anywhere, which, considering the price, is just amazing! I love those shoes with that blazer, the color is adorbs. I am so glad you will soon get your own Target in your neck of the woods, because my word, they serve as a wonderful, and reasonably priced addiction.
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about Target of course (have only read the name from your blog and some other blogs) but wow, you did buy a lot from there!! all those clothes.. sounds like heaven. the burgundy blazer looks way too awesome and the black & white jewellery is super classy!

emily you're looking fantastic in this 2 for 1 target inspired outfit with superb nails! i want those lace tights. i'm not really a target addict anymore. i still shop there occasionally. i guess after awhile i get used to something, & it doesn't seem as special? i prefer the thrift store.
ReplyDeleteoh emily, i wish i could have been a fly on the wall while you were in target
ReplyDeleteyes, i am an addict and will admit it proudly!

You could definitely call me a Target addict. The amount of time I spend there is ridiculous! I love your Target finds--that dress is so cute and I love it pared with the fabulous pink pumps!!
ReplyDeleteit's a joke around here that you go to target to buy a $300 pack of toilet paper. you can't just buy one thing there. there is a super target (grocery store+regular target) about a mile from my house and i'd say i go 3 times a week. i love your finds!! that dress is so pretty on you!
ReplyDeleteOh yes Target. My second home. Ha. I try to behave when I go in there but it is hard sometimes! I always come out with more than I go in for!
ReplyDeleteYou got some great items when you were here in the states. Very nice!!
Love, love, love Target! I never go in there with something particular in mind, but I always leave with a million things.
ReplyDeleteEmily so much to catch up with on your blog. Hotttt blonde alert. It is beautiful on you. I am so glad you got a chance to shop target. I love that floral dress. I always end up in the shoe dept but I do try to avoid it mostly. Have a great weekend. Dawn suitcase vignettes
