Red Jeans (worn like this), Blouse, Purse, Belt, Brooches & Shoes- Thrifted; Necklace- RW & CO; Sparkly Tank- Ann Taylor Loft; Ring- Zellers; Sunglasses & Bracelet- Aldo "Seeing red refers to when someone becomes so angered that it controls them, enraging the person." (Urban Dictionary) I'm no bull but I am a ginger (my natural hair colour is auburn) and you know what they say about redheads and their... tempers! Sometimes I think that I get more easily frustrated than others and sometimes I think that it's because I tend to over-commit (trying to change this as part of 2012's New Year's resolution) which ultimately leads to me becoming stressed, irritated and then angry. I am so lucky that my man has the patience of a Saint because I have been known to see red from time to time (especially in the kitchen, there's just something about a botched meal that really enrages me!) and it ain't pretty! |
Seeing red when it comes to throwing temper tantrums might not be attractive, but seeing red on coloured jeans sure is!
Are you a person that sees red or are you more of a 'keep calm and carry on' type?
I really love this. The red is a great pop of color, but it's the subtle sequins that are my favorite part.
ReplyDeleteI'm very straightforward and sometimes it causes problems and conflicts but I can't say I get angry.. no, I don't. I have very good nerves actually, haha.
ReplyDeleteanyway, that is such a nice look from you! I like the striped top, those red pants and the classy accessories you've chosen. job very well done!

I love this whole outfit on you - you pull off the red denim perfectly. I am definitely an angry outburst type of person...but I swear, I'm working on it!

I used to get angry at every little thing, but as I have gotten older I learned to chill a little bit. My problem is that I let all the little things build up and then I have a moment and explode, then after that I am ok, lol. Now I have the song Seeing Red in my head by Chevelle. Loving your red jeans. They go with everything! Heather
ReplyDeleteI love those shoes! and the bag! And as a fellow red-head I have have lived with the stigma of having a bad temper for my entire life!! (whether it's true or not, I'll leave up to my family!) :)
ReplyDeleteAs much as I like your pants, the accessories here are wonderful. The shoes and bag match beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI read recently that red hair comes from interbreeding centuries ago between humans and Neanderthals. So you have a little cavewoman in you!
I love your red pants! You have given me ideas for another way to style mine! And I have a tendency to overreact quite a bit, just ask my hubby. Like you, it often happens in the kitchen! Thank goodness for calm men, right?
ReplyDeleteHaha, I tend to "see red" in the kitchen a lot too, I understand :) I love those red pants, especially with that striped top!
ReplyDeleteI love the top! Great thinking pairing it with the red jeans!

Oh man, I can have a temper. My dad has a really bad temper and it's unfortunately one of the traits I inherited. I tend to get easily annoyed by stupid things, so it's definitely something I need to work on. But red pants are da bomb, and there is absolutely nothing bad about them :)
ReplyDeleteOh, now I want to break out my red skinny pants! They'll be the first thing on my list after I finish my outfit challenge. Love how you styled these with the striped shirt and accessories. Have a great weekend, Emily!
