Dress (worn like this)- Swapped; Shoes- Consigned; Belt & Necklace- Thrifted; Bracelets- Smart Set; Nail Polish- Fuschia Fever by Revlon |
This past weekend flew by- I worked most of Saturday and had dinner & drinks with friends in the evening. On Sunday I once again slept in until noon (I'm clearly not getting enough sleep during the week!) , ran errands, made homemade guacamole (which is becoming a weekly tradition) & banana hemp heart muffins, visited a good friend and did a lot of cleaning, laundry and household chores. We take ownership of our new house on July 31st (eeek I can't wait!) and I am determined to keep the new home spic and span unlike my current condo which is a mess at the best of times! I'm not a tidy person by nature so it's going to take a lot of concentrated effort. I'm so excited to make the space my own and will attempt to keep the disorder contained in my clothes room (yes you heard me right, a whole bedroom for my closet, this is what I'm most excited about!)
I took creative liberties with today's Inspiration Monday challenge because my favourite flouncy high-necked dress is currently in my 'to be altered' bag-which reminds me, I should get around to that someday soon! (And by get around to it, I mean pay someone to do it- I will learn to sew one of these days!)
What did you get up to this weekend?
I love this outfit! So fun and summery, but still classy enough for work or something.
ReplyDeleteAs for cleaning...I feel your pain! I try to stick to this super-easy schedule I found on The Hairpin (http://thehairpin.com/2011/07/ask-a-clean-person-the-basics/). Some weeks are better than others, haha.
