matchy matchy

Capris & Shoes- Thrifted; Top- Ann Taylor Loft; Bracelet- Sears; Earrings- Le Chateau
Wearing this outfit makes me feel like I'm back in my childhood years of matchy matchy syndrome when all my ensembles had to perfectly coordinate before I left the house.  As much as I love to pattern mix, sometimes I just feel like sporting a preppy ensemble that looks like a match made in heaven (or in my case created from a thrifted pair of capris & clearance Ann Taylor Loft top!)

I feel like a woman of few words lately as all my extra time has been dedicated to mortgage meetings, furniture shopping, finalizing our condo sale & dreaming up home decor, which leaves little time for fashion chat, although I still plan on being a fashionable homeowner! After we move into the new house and concepts become realities, I would love to incorporate interior design posts into my blog to spice things up a bit!

"Flowers don't worry about how they're going to bloom.  They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful."  (Jim Carrey)

I definately need to expand my shoe collection (but I guess I can be picky when it comes to shoes)

  17. I love this outfit, and can't believe the top and pants aren't from the same store! Your nail polish, shoes and bracelet are perfect complements. You look like you should be sitting in your new garden sipping a lemonade :) Can't wait to see your interior design posts. We'll have to trade stories. I just turned (and by 'I' I mean 'my dad') two salvaged teak tabletops into a DIY headboard. I'm now giving our bedroom a fun nautical theme.

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
