seasonally confused

Jacket & Skirt- Old Navy; Sweater- H&M; Scarf & Top- Smart Set; Tights- Forever 21; Boots & Belt (on jacket)- Thrifted; Skinny Belt- Gifted from ML; Ring- Zellers
We're already a week into March and it's officially spring in 2 weeks yet there's still an abundance of snow on the ground and yesterday was -24C with the windchill! Today I made it official that I'm through with winter by dressing in my favourite autumn colours- orange, brown and gold before realizing that spring is next in line, it won't be fall until next September! See what you've done to me Ottawa winter, you've left me with a bad case of seasonal confusion!
This is my 'don't mess with me' look (not quite as fierce as Bonnie's 'bitch face'!)

And there's my good old regular 'smile for the camera' look!

These orange tights are very thick- perfect for the harsh Canadian winters!
I finally jumped on the one-sparkly nail bandwagon, I'm wearing Gilty Pleasure by Sally Hansen & Gold Digger (accent finger) by Aldo.

Are you suffering from seasonal confusion (aka the winter blues) or are you fortunate enough to live in a warm climate? (try not to make me too jealous!)

  1. i like your "don't mess with me face." i like your autumn colors outfit too. where i live in texas we call the weather schizophrenic. it's been near 70 degress F. then our summers are brutally hot though.

  2. I'm with 'ya on being confused. When I got off work today it was 61 and I live just outside of Chicago. I just went in to get my outfit together for tomorrow. I'll tell you I was having one heck of a time. I finally decided on pants, jacket, scarf......blah, blah, blah. Come on Miss Season's must make up your mind!

  3. It's the same temperature all year round here, so I guess that's a type of seasonal confusion. All the seasons are the same...like an endless Groundhog Day...

  4. Emily, I love the Fall color of this outfit. The tights are awesome. Great color, gorgeous outfit. It is cold here in the a.m. but warms up in the afternoon and freezing again at night. I am just cold. Thank you for your lovely comments on my blog...you are a great blogger friend. I will email back and give you my codes. Thanks so much. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo

  5. great outfit, I like the prints and colors, the red and bronze accents are lovely especially for a weather like that. I can't imagine the cold, and you don't seem to be wearing a lot for this kind of weather.

  10. I love the colors in this outfit! Especially your tights - love them! And I'm where the Two Birds girls are - it was strangely warm in MN yesterday! Which was nice, but so weird at the same time! Today it will be falling back down to normal.

  14. It's really hard to know how to dress as the seasons change! It's always a challenge for me. You look great though. I think fall colors work anytime of year. I know they're some of my favorite colors!

  16. Well typically I'm going through the same thing, but this year has been really mild! We're getting some rain, but I think we're done with the snow. Despite the "confusion" I really love those colors, especially the fun red tights!

  17. The seasons here in NY have been off lately. Winter is warm, Spring is cold, you never know what to expect.

You look good in orange tones. And try as hard as you might, you can't look scary mean!

  19. Seriously, this year has been weird season-wise! I feel like we missed Fall and then dove into winter prematurely for nothing. Now it's spring-ish, but not really. GAH!

  21. Haha I know what you mean! I'm so ready for Spring but the weather keeps changing up on us, even in NC (fortunately not that drastically!) I looooove autumn colors no matter the season - this look is beautiful! I love your sweater and scarf, and the one sparkly nail is too cute! I might have to jump on that bandwagon too, haha! :)

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
