Faux Fur Vest- Vintage; Striped Top & Heels- Thrifted; Blouse- Smart Set; Corduroy Pants- Gap (Swapped); Necklace- Macy's; Nail Polish- Posh by Revlon |
Does this outfit look familiar? That's because it was brought to you by the lovely Brett and Shea, two of my favourite bloggers:
Wait a second are Brett & Shea wearing the exact same striped top? Looks like great minded fashionistas think alike!

You may have noticed that I look a little sleep-deprived in these pictures, that's because they were taken at 8 a.m. this morning before work. It's dark by the time I get home and the indoor photo-shoots are lacking so I thought why not take them before work? Although I loved this plan, the man wasn't too keen so early morning photoshoots may be a delectable rarity!
{Today's outfit combines the Wednesday & Thursday prompts of Megan & Keely's fashion challenge because I have a non-fashion related post lined up for tomorrow!}
You didn't think I walked to work in pointy toed heels and with just a faux fur vest to keep me warm did you? Not this Canadian gal, I layered up and wore my boots for the 5 minute stroll to my job (now if that's not a desirable commute, I don't know what is!)

Loved the shoes! All of the above :p
ReplyDeleteI love your take on it - the touches of blue-green are so pretty!

Aww, thanks for the shout out!! I love how you styled your striped sweater too, especially with that pretty necklace over it! And I have a major crush on those blue pumps!
ReplyDeleteFive minute stroll? Jealous. I used to live in a small town where everything was a five minute stroll. Might be the only thing I miss about the town!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I love your reinterpretation. And like you, I get a lot of inspiration from other bloggers.
ReplyDeleteCute, cute and even more cute. I love fur vests. I have 2. One I have and one I love.
ReplyDeleteBloggers are my total inspiration. Weather it's because of age, body type or simply personality!
Have a good week. Hope all is going well with you.
I love everything about this outfit - the faux fur, the stripes, the pop of blue! It's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love this look!! And Brett & Shea are great for inspiration. I just pinned one of Shea's cute outfits just the other day. =)

Love that you did both days! the fur vest looks excellent over your coat. I also like that you mixed things up with the green. I'm actually getting a little envious of everyone with snow right now. I miss my sweaters!
ReplyDeleteI love the fur vest and the pink coat.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!

most of my inspiration comes from fellow fashion bloggers... like your shoes right now, i'm loving them and am inspired to get myself a pair of blue shoes too!
ReplyDeletePinterest, it's so wonderful. I "shop" for free inspiration there. And other bloggers. It's funny that the gals are wearing the same top. Your fur vest looks really chic, goes well with bright pink or dark color striped top. I like that green shirt peeping out from under. You did a good with the layering!

ReplyDeleteGuess what I was doing some minutes ago, selecting boots to take with me!
I love your pink coat! That bright color must help you get through the dreary winter months. I get most of my fashion ideas from bloggers like you. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome vest! I've seen black faux fur vests on so many bloggers lately that I really want one. Mine is brown. I love it over the coat and am envious-- whenever I do that I look like a sheep, hahaha.

You took these at 8am? You look fabulous! I really love the fur vest layered over the striped top, layered over the button-down. Super-chic! I draw inspiration from other bloggers more than even celebrities - it is more true to everyday life.
