social butterfly

Pants, Heels & Jacket-Thrifted; T-shirt-Demu Label; Earrings-Roots; Nail Polish-Happy Birthday by Deborah Lippman

Please pardon my recent absence in the blogosphere.  I haven't blogged since Monday which in reality is only 3 days ago but in Tinfoil Tiaras time it feels like an eternity! It's just been one of those weeks when I had something planned every evening and by the time I got home I was too exhausted to lift a finger.  Tuesday night I attended a fashion show,  Wednesday evening I was organizing a photoshoot and last night I was at a firefighter event (I know poor me having to stare at half naked men-boo hoo!) The fun doesn't stop there-tonight I'm participating in a clothing swap and then Saturday night (aka date night) my man and I are going to drag queen karaoke!

{My look was inspired by Amanda's Best Form of Flattery challenge.  This outfit made me feel like a rocker chick! I'm also linking up to Spunky Chateau's Thursdays are for Thrifters.}

As fun as all these events are- I'm exhausted from going out every night and I'm starting to get sick from lack of sleep! 1-2 nights out a week is my limit, so to make up for this week's crazy social schedule I'm designating 'Spa Sunday'.  I'm going to spend Sunday evening giving myself a mani/pedi, face mask and long soak in the bathtub complete with scented candles, a glass of wine and a good book-I can't wait!

Are you like me-more of a homebody or are you raring to go every night of the week?

  1. Cute outfit! I love your version of it.

    I definitely love my couch. I know that sounds so lazy but I, too, get exhausted with plans every night of the week. I need to be able to relax!

  2. LOVE these blue shoes! How cute are they! And that jacket is so rocker-chic.
    As much as I enjoy going out with friends sometimes I schedule downtime for myself as well. They wanted me to go to Trivia last night and I just didn't know how to say 'Sorry I have a date with myself to stay home and watch re-runs of Glee tonight'. I'm just not capable of going out every single night.

  4. what a cool t-shirt! and I think you look really good with your hair up :)
    anyway, from Monday to Friday I usually stay at home because my workdays are quite hard but on Saturday or Sunday I and my boyfriend often do something cool, like have a great trip, go shopping etc :P

  6. No such thing as too much Alice ... adore the tee, love Angie's designs.

    I love going "oot n' aboot", as those Canadians say; still, I wish my social calendar would chill once in a while! Of course, avec la saison coming upon us quickly, I don;t see this happening at all. No worries: only fret when no one wants to hang with you!

    In the end, nothing better than beachwalks, Netflix and wine (or a Guinness) with my man :D

  10. you look really funky and fun in this outfit! Like the graphic T and the pop of blue in the T-shirt and heels. I know what you mean when you say 3days feels like eternity. You're such a homely girl. Me too. I enjoy going out but after 3 days of outings in a row, I feel like staying at home for a week.
