wild & wacky

Top- Thrifted; Pants-Old Navy; Necklace- Aldo; Ring- Smart Set; Heels- Suzy Shier
Fellow thrifters will know what I'm talking about when I say that second hand goods can be treasures or trash.  Because everything is so affordable, it's easy to get carried away and buy something just because it's cheap.  That's the story behind this top- I don't love it but I also don't hate it, in fact I thought it looked cute with tight pants and matching accessories.  That being said, I probably wouldn't have bought it if it cost more than $3.99 and it most likely won't get much wear.  It was an impulse buy, but when the price is right sometimes that's all that matters (especially if you get bored with your wardrobe like me!)

The print is wild and wacky- probably something a senior citizen donated but sometimes I'm in the mood for a fuddy duddy shirt- skin tight can just be so constricting!
Even though I haven't bleached my hair in months, in certain lights it looks oh so blonde!

  1. I completely LOVE this outfit! You look great in it. I agree that if you see the top alone it is probably old-lady. But the you paired it with the pants and those killer pumps - perfection! Great job!

  3. I like the colors and the print. And I really like how you pose and position your body. You're so naturally feminine and attractive.

Oh, and thank you for the sweet words today. They meant a huge amount to me.

  5. oh yeah *high five* I totally agree with you, I'm always buying stuff because they are cheap not because I really like them. When it's $1 for an item, you don't really think too much about it. But you definitely made the top worked for you, looks great with the tights, heels and necklace.

  6. Funnily enough I said a similar thing in one of my posts this week. When things are so cheap it's easy to get carried away and often end up spending just as much as you would on a new item, only to never wear it.
Mind you, with a top that pretty it would be hard to resist. I love how you've worn it and think your hair looks lovely. x

  7. I do the same thing; I load up when it's cheap. I have gotten a little better about it, trying to be more selective, but it's so tempting when it's all so cheap. That's so funny about the u-haul! We took a truck and a car full for my daughter. One vehicle moved my son. That's the difference between boys and girls. Debbie http://thriftygirlvintage.com

  8. That's whats so great about thrifting - you can make the impulse buys and not feel guilty about items not getting much wear. That said I think that's a super cute top, the print is really great with your coloring and it's fun!

  9. I think it's a great top--and for that good of a price it's worth it even if you only wear it a couple times. What I'm really loving here though are those AWESOME pumps!!

  11. I think you look fantastic in this outfit. The colours in the top are gorgeous! Under a blazer or with a belt, I think you'll get lots of wear out of the shirt this fall.

  12. Ooh! I think this top is great! Do you have a mustard colored skirt or pants or something in a berry color? Those colors would look fab with this top!

  15. I have one suggestion for the top that will make you love it - I think lol....its the sleeve they just need to be taken up a bit and if you find a good tailor thats not in a mall I am sure they would be able to do that for you cheap. I LOVE THIS TOP but thats the only thing that would bother me

    xoxo.
