Dress- Thrifted; Sandals- Suzy Shier |
Today is Canada's 144th birthday and to celebrate I wore my favourite thrifted red and white dress. I was still contemplating what to use as my 30th piece for the remix and instead of my yellow romper, I decided this dress would be more patriotic. My outfit was complete with a less orange tan thanks to this morning's shower in which waves of faux tan came off my skin, leaving a more realistic and natural looking colour.

My good friend came to visit for the weekend and it was so fun to catch up. Point of reference- she's Italian and usually I'm glowing in comparison so it just shows you how much darker the spray on tan made me! |

Prince William and Kate were in Ottawa today for their Canadian tour but the crowds were insane so we decided to enjoy a fruit smoothie away from the masses instead of trying to catch a glimpse of the royals...I hope I don't regret my decision! |

Me with an RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) officer on Parliament Hill. Fun fact- my lovely man was accepted to become an RCMP officer but decided to branch out into the tech industry instead. He may be making more money as a computer geek but I've always had a thing for men in uniforms... |
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA!!!
That dress is adorable. Such a fun print, and perfectly fitting for the occasion.

Yay Canada Day! I spent it at my mom's in Toronto but I forgot to dress up. Clearly, you win the patriotism award.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great Canada Day dress! I would have avoided the crowds too, although I have to say that Kate's Canada Day get-up was beyond adorable with the maple leaf hat!
ReplyDeleteThe wrap style of this dress is such a flattering cut on you. Glad you had a nice Canada Day. I managed to get a shot of Wills and Kate gazing into each others' eyes <3.

ReplyDeleteOh yeah- and I sent you an email, but I just wanted to make sure you knew that I haven't forgotten about your gloves!! We just got home from vacation and I'm planning on sending them out SOON! It's just kinda hard when you can't drive, so you have to wait until your mom or dad is going to the post office ;)
But they're all ready and you're gonna get them... sometime ;D
