I apologize for my recent absence in the blogosphere. I started a new job on Wednesday and by the time it's day end, my energy has been depleted. Since I'm a newbie, I've been wearing ultra conservative outfits (think boring trousers, plain blouse, minimal bling and muted nail polish) which are not very exciting or blog worthy. Once I get into the swing of things at work I will be back to my
leopard print and
colourful outfits but I don't want to alarm my colleagues...yet!
I almost didn't post these pictures that I took a few weeks ago. You know when you run out of poses and you think of something and in theory it's
better than nothing cute(like me drinking homemade lemonade) but in practice it does not deliver (like my double chins when I'm sucking on the straw). Oh dear, let's just focus on the fun and affordable thrifted outfit for now.

Homemade lemonade brought to you by my boy who painstakingly squoze squeezed the lemons and limes by hand upon realizing that we do not own a juicer :) |

I love the panty hose! So cute!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit - I always do the same thing when I first start a new job and dress super conservatively (at least for a bit).

I love the tights! I hope you are happy with your new job (congrats by the way!). I know what you mean about not getting too crazy with the outfits at first...odd because I was actually thinking about that today and what I'd do if I got a new job, and it would basically be the same thing you're doing.
ReplyDeleteNice..i really like those hose too

what an adorable skirt! and yup, the patterned tights look wonderful with it! also, I totally gave you an award on my blog, but there is noooo pressure to do any of the things it says to. just wanted to let you know :)
ReplyDeleteand for sure, I wore dress pants and button ups to work the first three months I worked there, and now I wear backless dresses and patterned rainboots. it just takes a little while until you can be yourself comfortably!
I have been an absentee as well and there is no new job to blame
ReplyDeleteLove the color of your top and I wish I had a nice glass of lemonade right now.

I think everyone dresses conservatively near the beginning of a new job, and people are always on their best behavior. In two months, you will be shocking everyone with your fierce sense of fashion. :)
