Dressing for Success

I recently wrote a post about the non-for-profit organization Dress for Success and how I have decided to  volunteer with them.  This week I attended the volunteer orientation and met fellow fashionable helpers, all gussied up in fabulous outfits! The boutique in Ottawa is located on Wellington Street, a mere few minutes walk from my condo, and the decor is amazing.  They managed to transform the space from a bland basement to a beautiful boutique! I am going to volunteer as a Boutique Manager and I am super duper excited to serve my first client! You know that feeling when you've found your calling in life- well this is how I feel about the incredible opportunity to volunteer with Dress for Success! It's an International Organization so if you're interested- check out the website for opportunities near you: http://www.dressforsuccess.org

Sorrow is constant and the joys are brief
The seasons come and bring no sweet relief
Time is a brutal but a careless thief
Who takes our lot but leaves behind the grief

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
