For my fourth instalment of my accessory addict series (previous posts:
shoes, jewellery &
hats), I confess to you my love affair for scarves. Much cheaper than shoes and more universally flattering than hats, they are a great way to add visual interest to your outfit. Out of curiosity, I counted my collection and I own 52 scarves, one for each week of the year! I like wearing scarves in my hair, around my neck, as a belt or tied around a purse.

Are you a sucker for scarves like me?
I am a sucker for scarves. From big wooly ones to tiny little lady ties (which are basically scarves). I don't think I have 52 (!) but I should count them to be sure. I agree though; they're a great accessory & cheaper than shoes!
ReplyDeleteThe great thing about scarves is that you can find so many beautiful ones very inexpensive at the thrift store. You have some awesome thrifted scarves!
ReplyDeletep.s. I thought I had a lot of scarves, but you beat me at 52! LOL :)

I do love a nice scarf and in fact for the first time this year I had to sort them out
ReplyDeleteSpring/summer vs fall/winter. I just didn't have enough room to have them all hanging in my closet at the same time.

HaHa! Great collection Emily! They're beautiful. I always love how you style them.
ReplyDeleteWow, you have a lot of beautiful scarves! I have just found a love of scarves this year and I need to add more to my closet - I think I only have about three right now to your 52!!

I LOVE scarves. I wear a lot of thicker pashmina ones for warmth but I love the European flair of soft silky ones. I'd love to start buying beautiful silk scarves as hostess gifts...My favourites here are the turban because you're absoutely rocking a tricky look to pull off, the obi one for the creativity factor, and the DFS one because the whole look says 'polished professional'.
ReplyDeleteI think I spotted you at the tulip festival last weekend eating on the other side of a patio. But when I saw you you were getting up to leave and our food was arriving to our table.
I love scarves, but I probably only have about 10! Something I have a hard time buying unless they're super cheap.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm not. I just always tend to forget to add a scarf to my outfit. but I do own quite many beautiful scarves and when I looked through your selection I really felt I should give more credit to my scarves as well. you have a great collection, Emily!
ReplyDeleteMaiken,
