zigzag

Cropped Pants (worn like this)- Old Navy; Blouse- Anthropologie; Cardigan- Thrifted; Bangles- Gifted; Necklace- E-Bay; Shoes- Target; Nail Polish- by Rimmel

It's no secret that I love colours & patterns so when you combine both bright hues & zigzags, it's an Emily approved ensemble! If I had to wear a uniform, I would want it to look something like this, an outfit that could easily be transformed from career to cocktails by removing the cardigan and adding evening makeup (as I tend to wear minimal makeup to work, if any at all.)

These shoes are an example of 'sitting pretty' shoes, they may look nice but you don't want be walking or standing for too long as your toes and arches will pay the price!

This isn't the first time I wore pink & green together and it won't be the last!
{Another blooper moment, the second button is undone, unfortunately my 'photographer' is not very observant!}

Do you find yourself gravitating towards bright colours, patterns, both or neither?

  3. Oh dear, I used to have a ton of "sitting pretty" shoes. It was so hard to resist a pair that looked good but hurt my feet. Thank goodness I've been able to find a lot of cute ballet flats recently. My feet are happier now. :)

  5. I like bright colours and I like patterns and I can wear them however it feels the best so I don't have any certain rules or something.
    now, when it comes to your super bold outfit I must say those Barbie-pink pieces are sooo cute and I actually love that colour. gosh and I hate it when a visually amazing pair of shoes turns out to be a complete disaster in use. not great at all.

  7. You always look gorgeous, but this time even more - I love pink, and shoes (as you know :), so I loved your outfit even more now, with the pink top and shoes! It was not only your photographer that didn't see the button... if you hadn't written about it, I wouldn't have seen it either!

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
