snow toes (take 2)

Red Jeans (worn like this) Blazer, Belt, Purse, Scarf & Ring- Thrifted; Shoes- Vintage;  Top- Smart Set; Bracelets- Aldo; Nail Polish- Black Pearl by Chanel (Gifted)

This is my second time writing this post, I had it scheduled for last Thursday but somehow managed to delete all the contents and not even my computer scientist man could save it!

I'm not one of those winter loving Canucks you see on commercials (guess I'm not a self respecting Canadian!), in fact I start to hibernate when the cold weather comes.  I also don't like dressing for winter and in the 6 years I have lived in Ottawa, I haven't bought myself a proper winter jacket or boots so I am freezing all season long.  Today I am debuting my snow toes, a trend that I started in High School when I would walk to the bus stop in heels without socks or sometimes even sandals (I think it was so that I would catch cold & miss a few days of school; don't worry I have grown up a bit and now wear boots to walk to work and I change into the cute shoes at the office).

Do you bundle up for the cold or have snow toes?

  2. I'm not going to lie - I kind of want some of that snow in your pictures! Just for Christmas anyway. So send some of that south will you?

I love this outfit - I'm always on the look out for ways to style red jeans since I bought a pair this fall. I think I could do something similar to this. I love your scarf and your bag too!

Oh and I'm a freeze baby, I definitely bundle up when it gets cold/snowy.

  3. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh gosh, so when I lived in Alaska, I used to get really pissed off during the winter because that meant I couldn't dress up how I was used to. But then slowly, I started LOVING the snow and the cold, but that didn't mean buying snow shoes or boots. Hell no. Instead, I embraced the winter and just wore what I wanted anyway. hahaha. :)

I am totally loving your shoezies and that adorable bangle!

  5. I was once like you, boycotting the winter, but in the past few years I've been forced to buy boots and an actual coat (walking to school/work will do that to you). I only wear them on the walk, but I still don't love it. You are so brave for battling the weather - and you look so good doing it!

  6. emily, your shoes are darling. are your toes cold, though? what a pretty scarf and bracelet. i bundled when i lived in the snow. now i get plenty of bare toes living in texas. wearing layers is a nice change for us. i still don't like the cold though. i don't like the heat either. :p

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
