Tights- Hue; Scarf & Larger Ring- Smart Set; Purple Bracelet- Persona (Giftted); Dress, Jacket, Belt, Shoes, Purse, Brown Bracelets, Brooch & Smaller Ring- Thrifted; Nail Polish- Stormy & Gold Coin by Revlon |
After a week of wearing black, it was time to inject some colour into my ensembles. This outfit and I inspired by the army green & purple hues in my scarf and I tied the look together with differing shades of brown.

I find painting my nails relaxing and usually do so while watching tv. I like to change the colours every 2 days or so and often find myself gravitating to clothing which complement my nails, rather than the other way around.

The hosiery have an alien-eque glow in these photos but in person they are a bright lilac.
Have you worn an unexpected colour combination recently ?
Your purple tights are awesome! They play so well with the olive green and browns. Your fringed purse is pretty great too :)
ReplyDeleteOMG! these purple tights are pretty amazing! can't say i own a cool pair like that. Hue here i come : )
ReplyDeleteI think I haven't.. unfortunately of course because I like those rather crazy combos! and your tights definitely are crazy cool! I also like the bag and all those brown'ish accessories you've piled up!

You rock colour like no other! You will have to teach me a thing or two about it ;)
ReplyDeleteOoh I love the olive green paired with that light, bright shade of purple! I wish I painted my nails more often--they get neglected more often than not though! Maybe this fall I'll be more motivated to do that!
ReplyDeleteI adore these tights. They're an unusual color and I don't think I've ever seen them on anyone before. This outfit kind of reminds me of a stylish forest guide if that makes any sense. Maybe a glamping guide?
ReplyDeleteLove the tights!
ReplyDeleteThe tights are perfect with the olive green. I wish I was patient enough to paint my nails more often.
ReplyDeleteReally cute! I've wanted to try purple + green for a while, but couldn't figure out how to pull it off - but this gives me some great ideas. :)
ReplyDeleteSee, that's why I like reading your blog, because I would've never thought to put those colors together. I think your tights are super cool and look great with it. Also, I always love how you layer accessories. Always looks great!

You had me at "Purple"; adding "Gams" just magnified the appeal. Love the way you look here.
ReplyDeleteI love that you choose your clothes to complement your nail colour! My nails are too brittle so I can't wear nail polish often. Jealous ;)
ReplyDeleteI would have never thought to wear that shade of purple with brown, but it totally works! I love it Emily!

I have never tried purple and brown - they look wonderful together! I don't know that I've tried any combos lately that I have been surprised by. Your fringe bag is super neat! And I like how your nails turned out, I don't think they're too alien like at all!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute outfit. Have a great week
ReplyDeleteGreat colour combination - I think all three are so complimentary!

Wowzers! What a shock of purple! Very cool. I like how you kept everything else simple and neutral so your tights could be the center of attention. I've been wearing neon berry pink lately.
