pants

Jeans- Swapped; Cardigan, Blouse & Belt- Thrifted; Shoes- Target; Necklace- E-Bay; Bird Ring- St. Kitt's; Gold Rings- Gifted; Nail Polish- Posh by Revlon & Multi by Forever 21
I've never understood how people can throw on a pair of jeans & tee and consider these their 'comfy clothes' when I find pants the most constricting piece of clothing and am much more relaxed in a flattering wrap dress or coloured skirt.  That being said, as the weather gets colder (I woke up to a winter wonderland this morning), I prefer pants solely for their leg warming abilities.  Plus nothing says sassy to me like a pair of jeans/pants/leggings with a great pointy toe!

Are you a pants, jeans, skirt or dress kind of gal?

  1. Hmm... I love throwing on a good pair of jeans. Maybe it's because I hate sitting like a lady. And I need a durable pant that can be washed 1000 times. Really, I'm just a 2 year old at heart!

  2. I love throwing on a pair of jeans, but I also find them very constricting - so I'm torn. I think both jeans and dresses have their place.
I think you look stunning in both of these looks - the colours are fantastic and look so good on you!

  3. I'm a in between kind of girl. I love wear skirt/dress more. This time of year my legs get to cold. I a flat kind of girl and I don't want to wear them either. I'm so lucky I didn't wear my flat yesterday b/c I woke up to snow on the ground. I love your necklace in the first picture.

  4. I love the first outfit! The pink shoes, bright nails, and accessories really dress up the denim. I tend to throw on a pair of jeans and a sweater for my "casual days," but I do find dresses and skirts to sometimes be more comfortable! Hope you had a wonderful weekend, lady!

  10. Pants definitely win the leg-warming contest! I'm definitely a jeans girl--that's what I throw on to be comfy (although I agree that some jeans can be constricting). I love how you styled both pairs of pants--those colors are all so pretty!

  11. I love both of these looks, but especially the color combo in the first outfit. So cute :) I really like dresses and skirts in the summer, but pants usually end up winning once the weather gets really cold, lol. Heather

  12. I agree that pants are really not all that comfortable. That is why I live in skirts and dresses in the summer, but in the winter it is harder. I do tend to wear more pants when the temp drops! I often throw on non-blog worthy sweats when I get home from work each day, far more comfortable than jeans!

I love both of these outfits, but I'm especially digging the shoes in the second outfit and your super fun nails!

  14. Although I tend to wear more dresses and skirts. I do love trousers, a nice wide-legged trouser is one of my favourites, and denim has its place for me, I guess it depends on where you're going, what you're doing. Love your colourful necklace and both shoes! xx

  16. I used to be a trousers girl when I lived in Chicago. It was hardly ever warm enough for skirts there. Now that I live in San Francisco, I wear my jeans 90% of the time. I've become much more relaxed.

  17. Emily! hello! oh i am a jeans/pants kind for sure. Dresses have to be absolutely fitting right for me to enjoy them and very few do that easily. so ...i default to the pants often! cool post and questions. I love the necklace and tops and nails coordination look. awesome!!!!!!!

  18. I hate pants - despise them really but you look great in all combinations. I prefer a skirt or a dress. not as constricting.

  19. Love the pink and green together and the wine is so pretty for the season.

  20. That belt is a great vintage find; it really brings everything together in your outfit. I'm more of a pants girl than my blog lets on. I guess I feel I have to watch myself with skirts that I'm not being unladylike!

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
