buckle up

Pants- H&M; Blazer- Urban Outfitters; Top & Shoes- Thrifted; Necklaces- RW&CO; Ring- Sears; Nail Polish- Plum Seduction by Revlon

A week after my relaxing holiday, it's now back to reality with a dash of the post-vacation blues! Because I took a complete break from technology while in St. Kitts, my 8 e-mail accounts (5 work, 3 personal) were busting at the seams and various projects were calling my name upon return. Needless to say I'm about ready for another vacation, bring on the sandy beaches (especially since when I woke up this morning, Ottawa was covered in a light dusting of snow!) and rum punch!  Because I'm no Real Housewife, and life can't be one endless vacation, I brightened the week by dressing in my favourite coral pants and buying some playful new jewellery, like this belt buckle ring.

When you return from vacation do you jump right back into your daily routine or does it take you a while to transition from all-play to non-stop work?

  1. Such cute ring. Also I so want a pair of coral pants. It takes me time to get back in my daily routine after a vacation.

  5. well emily, i'm glad you're back. 8 emails? my gracious! snow at the end of april? no wonder you need some coral color in your pants & nails. :) great shoes, blazer & jewelry. i like to get unpacked, & back into routine as quickly as possible, but usually i'm majorly exhausted after a trip, so sometimes it happens, & sometimes it doesn't. sometimes it takes awhile to get back in the swing of things.

  6. I have to jump right back into work because there's no other way.. my first vacation this year will start in the end of next month and it lasts for 7 days of what 5 days I will spend in Prague, so 2 days left before work starts again.. sad, I know.
anyway, nice selection of colours and super fabulous selection of accessories, girl!

  11. Love the bright pants! I have four emails (2 school, 2 personal) and keep up with them pretty well. I'm pretty much a round the clock worker, even when I take vacation it's usually something I've had to plan, keep in order, and it feels like work. Lawl.

  15. I know what you are talking about. It's always hard to bounce back from a holiday. Especially when you are so used to not doing anything during the holiday, then suddenly you are thrown right back into the busyness of things, can be real daunting. But your outfit and great smile definitely cheer things up, I like your red pants, folded for a more casual relaxed look. I am sure you will ease into the normal routine soon! Have a wonderful week Emily...welcome back!

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
