I have a fashion confession to make. Up until this weekend I have never bought anything from Forever 21. Not because I don't like their clothing but because Ottawa didn't have a F21 until a few months ago and every time I walked by it was swarming with pre-teens with their parents' wallets. All that changed on Saturday when I finished my shift at the Wedding Palace show (where I was helping to promote Lilac Lingerie) and decided to go shopping. Of course I headed straight for the sale area where I spotted this adorable poodle sweater in the buy-one-get-one-free rack. So Madame poodle and a beautiful blue flouncy dress (which will make her debut sometime soon) made their way home with me...plus 2 nail polishes, 3 belts, a hairbrush, 3 pairs of tights and a reusable carrier bag, all for under $100. What can I say except that Forever 21= a bargain hunter's paradise!

It's common knowledge by now that I love colour but sometimes black and white is so effective I wear the combination twice in one week! I wore the poodle outfit out to watch The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with friends (very graphic and upsetting-a couple of scenes made my stomach churn) and I wore the polka-dotted dress to work and run errands in.  |

what a cute pokka dotty outfit! I like the poddle top too, it's super adorable. Yes I like to go to Forever 21, things are so affordable there and I always get really giddy looking at the things. Great black and white outfits! They always work!

I just started shopping at F21 this year too, I was excited by the prices and that I was actually able to find things that I liked!

You really can find some great things at Forever21! I know some of my favorite pieces came from there, but it's a great place to pick of pieces from trends that might not stick around too long. This poodle sweater is adorable! Pairing it with the black bottoms and a pair of colored tights really let's it be the vocal point of the outfit. Love it!

ReplyDeleteI've wandered into the F21 a few times but only purchased something once. I do find a lot the clothes are aimed at tweens and teens and less adult women, although there's still a lot to offer us. But you get what you pay for, and most of it is made cheaply, boo.

ReplyDeleteReally adorable sweater! I've been in F21 twice (we had a flood in 2009 that damaged that mall and it still hasn't fully opened back up). I think I've bought two things from there and got rid of both pretty quickly because of how cheap the quality is. However they do have some adorably designed stuff that I have seen while thrifting, I just mostly try to not to buy it. I think I've bought a thing or two though.

Both looks are so much fun--I love the new poodle sweater you found! I like Forever 21, but the one near me is always packed with teenagers too, so I don't go there too often.

Forever 21 can be trouble for me.... I try not to go in there too often because I always just buy impulsively when I do. But I am sure I would have snatched that adorable jumper! the print is just adorable!

F21 is unbeatable when it comes to price and finding every single trend under the sun...however, I was really annoyed to learn about their no exchage/return policy when I was buying something for my sister and wasn't sure of the size. I guess because their stock turns over so fast but...c'mon!! It was enough to turn me away. (Sorry for the rant)
