Dress- Ann Taylor Loft; Sweater- H&M; Jewellery- Macy's; Belt & Boots- Thrifted |
Today's
remix challenge is to remix a summer dress for fall. I bought this orangy (orangy- hmmm not sure my teacher mama would agree that's a word) red wrap dress on my last trip to
San Diego at Ann Taylor Loft on sale for $20 and it soon became my go-to dress when I needed something colourful and comfortable to wear. I love the idea of incorporating bright colours into one's fall wardrobe so I added brown suede laceup boots, an oversized sweater and fun accessories to transition the look into the colder months.

I just love these suede/leather boots that I thrifted years ago for only $6! |

There we go- having a better hair day so no more hidden identities! :) |

Love this outfit - I can't believe you thrifted such amazing pieces! Very nicely done :)
ReplyDeleteWow! That dress is a great color. I love orange for fall. It brightens up those neutrals. Watch out - I want to steal those boots. The lacing is so cool! And thrifted too? *swoon*
ReplyDeleteI love that dress! The color is so pretty and fall perfect and what a great price.

Cute dress! Love the color.
ReplyDeleteThe color of this dress is wonderful! And absolutely wonderful with your hair and complexion. It dresses up for fall wonderfully with the heavy knit of the cardigan and fun accessories. Really love it! Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog - made my day! And I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the rest of the challenge. It's been so fun seeing what everyone has put together!

Good remix! Love that necklace! It's reminds me of a grown-up and sophisticated version of those colourful candy necklaces.

I love how you remixed that cute dress for Fall. But those boots are seriously the cutest things I've seen in a long time. I can't believe you only paid $6 for those. That's insane.

I love a good "orangy" dress. Your necklace and bracelets tie everything together beautifully. I need to start thrifting so I can find some $6 boots.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on starting your Masters!
Remixing summer dresses for fall is really difficult, sometimes. It depends on the color and the print of the dress. This color looks fantastic on you! The color screams summer, but you remixed it so it is perfect for fall.
