absence of jewels

I am a huge fan of jewellery- the bigger the better.  But sometimes the outfit says it all and to accessorize would be overkill.  I found this adorable yellow dress yesterday at AMH Style, an upscale consignment store a mere minutes walk from my condo.  Sure, I could have added a bracelet or hair accessory but I let the frock (and the purple shoes) do all the talking.  Surprisingly enough this outfit was super versatile taking me from work, to dog walking with my best friend and now off to dinner with my love.  The best part about this dress? It's my first piece of clothing in yellow but it sure won't be my last!

{I hope your weekend is as sunny as my dress!}

  11. I agree, this dress has enough detailing to shine on its own, but the unadorned but colourful shoes are the perfect touch. The cut really suits you as well. Great find! - Kat

  20. emily your dress reminds me of my favorite flower the daffodil. when you get a condo cleaning break, you can go to the store & buy some yellow polish. then you can wear it with your lovely dress. ;)

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
