rain rain go away

Rain + feeling sick= a recipe for a dreary day.  But I decided to get out of my slump, throw on the brightest jacket I could find and visit my local Chapters for a little pick me up.  Chapters is the Canadian version of Indigo and I could spend hours browsing their cookbooks, fashion magazines and home gifts.  After I'd satisfied my literary appetite, the boy and I went to see the new thriller Hanna which is about a 14 year old girl who was raised by her father to act as a robotic killing machine.  The movie was meh, too much violence and not enough of a story line to keep me interested.

What do you like to do on a rainy day?

  2. Cute boots. Love the color (I think it's even better than the Steve Madden Intyce that I see around a lot.) I like to sleep in on rainy days... or read my old favorites. Feel better!

  4. Ahhh I love your top! I haven't visited Anthropologie in a while...it's a little too pricey right now. But everything they have there is pure love.

There's a certain amount of charm that goes with rainy days. As much as I love me some nice weather, a rainy day is nice because I don't feel obligated to be outside and do everything. A rainy day is a lazy day, and I like lazy days. I think I'd very much like to spend one in a bookstore right about now!

P.S. Love your umbrella, too, and thanks for the tip off about the movie! I rarely, if ever, go to the theater, but I'll avoid this movie for sure now.

  6. I was wondering what that movie was about. Im not into all that killing I like action just not gore. You look great love the top, is that a tribal pattern?

  7. I really like your patterned top. I thought that movie looked a little odd. I don't really want to see a child murdering tons of people. It's sort of strange.

I'm sick of movies with little kids antichrists/serial killers... Too many of them and really how much can you get scared by an 8 year-old??
I like to watch horror movies by the fireplace and cuddle with g., when it rains!! Have a nice day dear!

  11. Great photos, love how your top is the cog that keeps everything working together. The red military jacket is so pretty on you, it fits so well.
Ah, I wish that Hanna was better. It sounded like it had a good base for a film. I just love the actors too. The young girl was wonderful in The Lovely Bones. I guess I'll be waiting for that one to watch on Netflix.

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
